 CBRE is the world’s largest Commercial Real Estate firm with offices in most major cities around the world.  Our Location Intelligence team, who create GIS and map-focused analytic web-applications in support of smart Commercial Real Estate decisions, is in immediate need of a Front-end web developer You will be responsible for the quality, accuracy, and meeting our company's and customers' evolving needs through development of functional and appealing interactive, map-centric, applications.

As a Front-End Developer, you will bring to life the work of our analysts in highly stylized and user friend web apps.

Job Duties

• Work closely with our Location Intelligence analysts to bring to life the data and analysis so it can be easily consumed by all of our clients.
• Collaborate with end users and other data partners to gather requirements and create and integrate web-based applications.
• This role will also perform UI/UX design and testing, develop, and maintain a core code repository.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, prototype, and implement new and innovative technologies, libraries, and design principles.
• Maintaining, bug fixing, problem-solving, and iterating new features to our library of GIS (map) focused web applications used by GIS team and clients.

• Mentor and educate Location intelligence professionals on basic design and coding principles, best practices, and tools.

Front-End Developer Requirements

• Web development experience and related languages such as JavaScript (Vue, JQuery, Lodash, etc), HTML5, and CSS3
• Ability to design and code unique and functional website/application UI’s
• Work with various remote data sources and APIs via REST and JSON
• Ability to develop complex, progressively-enhanced responsive applications for a variety of browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes
• Passion for aesthetically pleasing designs is required.
• Ability to think outside the box to deliver unique solutions.  We support and promote creative freedom and solutions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to modifying code from previous projects in order to meet strict client deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail is required

Skills and experience considered a plus:

• Familiarity with mapping APIs, such as Google Maps API and especially ArcGIS JavaScript API
• Basic understanding of GIS or map focused web design and implementations
• Familiarity of the ESRI ArcGIS suite, particularly portal, ArcGIS Online and API for ArcGIS JavaScript a plus

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work or equivalent work experience. Requires technical knowledge, training and understanding of the job's requirements. Typically possesses 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
